About The Position

As a Medical Assistant, you play a vital role in providing quality and compassionate care to patients. You will support providers and nursing leadership by performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks, ensuring a seamless and positive patient experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), or equivalent experience as outlined in the job description.
Current BLS-C certification upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.
Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum).
OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years.
OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting.
OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.
OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.

Nice To Haves

Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.

Responsibilities

Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring a welcoming environment.
Obtain and document accurate medical histories from patients.
Measure and record vital signs, preparing patients for examinations or procedures.
Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Perform administrative tasks to support the clinical team and patient care.
