About The Position

The Medical Assistant serves as the initial point of contact for patient care, handling both administrative and clinical responsibilities. This role involves performing advanced administrative, operational, and customer support tasks that require independent initiative and judgment. Clinical duties include discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, administering medications and vaccines, performing phlebotomy, collecting specimens, conducting diagnostic screening tests, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, and maintaining examination rooms. The Medical Assistant is also responsible for documenting patient information in the electronic medical records system and collaborating with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to deliver direct patient care, adhering to active certification allowances. This position requires advanced knowledge, contributing to process improvement, delivering in-depth training, and providing advanced guidance and mentoring to other Medical Assistants. The role is patient-facing and requires participation in the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. Requirements

  • Certified or Registered
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Medication/vaccine administration experience
  • 1+ years MA experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR Certified
  • Required to be screened for TB (if selected for this role)

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years MA experience in PCO center
  • Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication
