About The Position
At OnSpot, we’re redefining how patients access dermatology care. Our state-of-the-art mobile medical clinics bring full-service skin care, including screenings, biopsies, and Mohs surgery, directly to local communities and businesses across Southeast Florida. By combining innovation, compassion, and convenience, we make high-quality dermatology care accessible to everyone. We are looking for a Seasonal Medical Assistant who is passionate about making a difference. As part of our mobile care team, you’ll provide hands-on support to dermatology providers, assist during procedures, and help deliver an outstanding patient experience. This is a seasonal position beginning in November and is a great opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant looking for temporary work while gaining valuable experience in dermatology and surgical care. This is more than a typical MA role — it’s an opportunity to work in an innovative practice, travel with our mobile clinics, and be part of a mission-driven team fighting skin cancer and improving lives.
Requirements
- Certified and/or experienced Medical Assistant
- Team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Dependable, flexible, and motivated to support our mission of creating a patient experience like no other
- Comfortable working in a mobile clinical environment and traveling with the team as needed
Nice To Haves
- Surgical or dermatology experience preferred
- Knowledge of Mohs procedures is a plus
- Experience with EMA/Modernizing Medicine strongly preferred; training available for the right candidate
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients, take medical histories, and prepare them for exams
- Scribe for providers and update electronic medical records (EMA/Modernizing Medicine)
- Assist during Mohs procedures, excisions, and minor surgeries
- Label, process, and prepare specimens for the lab
- Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate patient care
- Support providers during additional testing and procedures
- Ensure patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for
- Occasionally take on duties outside of standard MA tasks to support team operations
