About The Position
Centurion is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant to join their team at the Reception Diagnostic Center in Plainfield, Indiana. This role provides comprehensive healthcare services within the Indiana Department of Correction. The Medical Assistant will work under the supervision of an RN or LPN, monitoring patient vital signs, implementing diagnostic lab orders, and assisting physicians with minor procedures. Responsibilities also include recording EKGs, maintaining and cleaning medical equipment, and collecting data for Quality Improvement programs.
Requirements
- Current Indiana Medical Assistant license/certification
- Current CPR
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Corrections experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Monitoring patient vital signs
