Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Medical Assistant Program
  • A minimum of one year experience in a medical office setting
  • Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Epic
  • Performance Manager/NetLearning
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
  • Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Required to travel to satellite offices.

Responsibilities

  • Provides general Medical Assistant guidance to Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery physicians and physician assistants (6 providers)in an outpatient setting in the Weinberg Center for Women's Health and Medicine.
  • The staff member demonstrates competency when providing individualized care to specific patients.
