About The Position

The Medical Assistant (MA) performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office. This role involves taking vital signs, documenting patient history, updating electronic health records (EHR), assisting providers with exams and procedures, administering medications or injections, performing basic lab tasks, preparing specimens, and maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms. The MA also supports front office functions and patient care coordination, including scheduling, insurance verification, and patient education.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant is required.
• Current BLS certification required within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred.
• CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification preferred.
• Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred.
