About The Position

The Medical Assistant – Rotating position is designed to be a point of contact for patients both inside and outside the clinic setting. The Rotating position will have a home department but will also be used in the various Enloe clinics to help cover vacancies or help with increases in volume/workload. The Medical Assistant – Rotating will report directly to the Practice Manager who will be responsible for assigning work sites on an as needed basis. The Medical Assistant – Rotating position will also take direction from the Clinic Supervisor at the site in which they are working.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program or formal medical service training program of the United States Armed Forces
• OR Associates degree or higher in a clinical healthcare field (such as LVN, RN, Medical Technologist) and two years back office medical experience
• OR Currently certified as a Medical Assistant
• Current CPR certification

Nice To Haves

• Front medical office experience to include: reception; registration, scheduling, billing and medical record functions

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact for patients both inside and outside the clinic setting.
• Work in various Enloe clinics to cover vacancies or assist with increased volume/workload.
• Report directly to the Practice Manager for assignment of work sites.
• Take direction from the Clinic Supervisor at the assigned site.
• Interact professionally and effectively communicate with physicians, staff, patients, and the public.
• Demonstrate basic medical/technical competence.
• Utilize clerical and computer skills for medical office support functions.
• Show sensitivity for the patient and their family.
• Maintain strict confidentiality.
• Follow instructions and work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Utilize analytical and grammatical skills for effective verbal and written communication.
• Employ organizational and multi-tasking skills.
