About The Position

The Medical Assistant supports clinical and administrative operations, providing respectful and considerate service to patients and maintaining workflow, schedules, and quality requirements. The role requires strong interpersonal abilities to interact with individuals, families, and groups from varied social, emotional, cultural, and intellectual backgrounds, along with sound clinical judgment and professional behavior.

Requirements

At least one year of experience in a medical environment, including scheduling.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to multitask.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
Ability to sit and stand for lengthy periods, bend frequently, and hear and communicate effectively.
Excellent interpersonal abilities and sound clinical judgment and professional behavior.

Nice To Haves

Clinical office medical experience is preferred.
Medical Assistant certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Schedule appointments, tests, and surgeries.
Greet patients.
Pre-certify insurance benefits.
Obtain medical histories and vital signs.
Assist during physical examinations.
Prepare injections.
Enter patient information into medical records.
Maintain treatment rooms.
Perform laboratory procedures and phlebotomy.
Perform or assist with other duties as required to maintain workflow and meet schedules and quality requirements.
Treat customers with respect and consideration and support patient satisfaction.
