About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support both front and back office clinical operations in a fast-paced outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will be patient-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a collaborative healthcare environment where health education and patient outreach are prioritized.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (in addition to externship)
- Proficiency in EMR systems required
- Strong phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and computer proficiency
- Commitment to patient education and quality care
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
- Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Greet and room patients in a professional and courteous manner
- Obtain and document patient vital signs
- Assist with scheduling and patient coordination
- Answer phone calls and manage front desk duties
- Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and specimen collection
- Administer vaccines and assist with immunizations
- Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
- Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
- Provide clinical and administrative support as needed
