About The Position
Northwest Medical Associates of Praxis Health is seeking reliable, friendly, and energetic Medical Assistants with outstanding people skills to join their team. This role is crucial in supporting providers and ensuring seamless patient care. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for rooming patients, obtaining vitals and medical history, documenting in EHR, assisting with clinical procedures, managing clinical tasks like prior authorizations and referrals, contributing to team flow, and maintaining a safe clinical environment.
Requirements
- High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Ability to multi-task and provide support to multiple providers
- Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
- BLS certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assisting diploma from an accredited vocational institution or a community college program
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
Responsibilities
- Rooming patients, obtaining vitals, medical history, and allergy/asthma updates.
- Accurately documenting in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Assisting providers with clinical procedures and testing.
- Managing clinical tasks including prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription support.
- Contributing to daily team flow, supporting both patients and fellow staff.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment.
