About The Position

This is a full-time, onsite position with standard working hours (Monday to Thursday, 8am-5pm, and Fridays 8am-3pm). The role focuses on providing patient care according to physician instructions, assisting during procedures, maintaining records, and ensuring a clean and sanitary work environment. We emphasize a healthy work-life balance and a positive, people-first organizational culture.

Requirements

• Phlebotomy certification.
• Excellent communication skills and follow-through.
• Excellent customer service with a patient focus.

Nice To Haves

• 1 or more years of experience in a medical spa, dermatology, or plastic surgery office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide care according to physician’s instruction and in accordance with recognized techniques and procedures and established standards and policies to maintain the health and general well-being of the patient.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative teaching for both patient and family members.
• Provide assistance during surgery or other procedures as indicated.
• Set up the patient for surgery including prepping area, draping with sterile drapes, setting up a clean tray with anesthesia, and preparing instruments.
• Scrub in as assistant to the surgeons.
• Hand instruments and cut sutures, keep the operative area clean and organized.
• Prepare equipment and paperwork for surgery.
• Maintain appropriate records and documentation.
• Rooming & completing patient intake/obtaining HPI.
• Scribing while assisting with exams; attention to detail is key.
• Draw blood from patients when needed for cosmetic procedures.
• Label sterile containers for other samples, such as urine, and instruct patients on proper collection procedures.
• Enter sample information into a database.
• Assemble, maintain, and dispose of medical instruments such as needles, test tubes, and blood vials.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and sanitary.
