About The Position

Become a part of our caring community The Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments.

Requirements

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR Certified

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy experience
• Medication/vaccine administration experience
• 1+ years MA experience
• Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
• Bilingual proficient in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

• The Medical Assistant performs clinical duties.
• These duties include discussing symptoms and gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system.
• They also take vital signs, give injections, and perform diagnostic tests.
• Additionally, the Medical Assistant collects specimens, draws blood, sterilizes and cleans equipment, and maintains examination rooms at an outpatient care site.
• You will report onsite to the Clinic Administrator at Conviva Legacy Place located at: 18414 US Hwy 281 N, Suite 104, San Antonio, TX 78259.
