The Saint Alphonsus Karcher clinic is now hiring for a Medical Assistant to work in their Urgent Care Clinic! This position will work in the Urgent Care clinic with rotating providers. This position will work with a variety of providers and other MAs and RNs in a fast-paced environment. Located at the intersection of Karcher Road and Middleton Road, Saint Alphonsus Medical Group provides convenient care close to home for west Nampa residents and the surrounding communities. In addition to urgent care, this clinic also provides family medicine and pediatric services. Open daily with limited wait times, urgent care provides convenient and cost-effective treatment for conditions that are non-life-threatening.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire
  • MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA), American Medical Technologists (RMA), National Healthcare Association (CCMA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA), National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA), American Medical Certification Association (CMAC), National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA)
  • MA certificate of completion required from an accredited program or school (for New Graduates)
  • Completion of either a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship hours even with MA certification (for New Graduates)
  • 1 Year of MA experience OR Current MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed above (for Medical Assistant with Experience)
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire

  • Perform phlebotomy
  • Administer immunizations
  • Prep injections

  • Complete POC and other tests
  • Complete tasks and orders in the task inbox
