This position assists in the delivery of all office-related healthcare and patient care management within the Cardiology clinic. The Medical Assistant directs patient flow, performs patient check-in and appointment scheduling, maintains patient financial records, and ensures a smooth patient visit from start to finish. This role also involves answering and directing all telephone calls appropriately.

Requirements

• Graduate of Highschool or GED equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited program for medical assistants
• Current Basic Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross BLS) certification

Nice To Haves

• Experience in an office or medically related environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the delivery of all office related healthcare and patient care management.
• Directs the patient flow process at physician's office.
• Performs patient check in and appointment scheduling as assigned.
• Supports PPSI by maintaining patient financial records at the office.
• Provides closure to patient visit.
• Answers and directs all telephone calls appropriately.
