We’re looking for a talented and experienced Medical Assistant with strong front office skills to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in both clinical care and front office operations. We’re looking for a true team player with solid clinical skills, experience in insurance and Verification of Benefits (VOB), and someone who excels at celebrating patients’ successes. Knowledge in exercise is a big plus!

Requirements

  • Medical Assistant certification.
  • Front office experience, including insurance and VOB knowledge.
  • Clinical experience in EKG and phlebotomy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience and training in exercise (a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Utilize a multi-line phone system to answer and appropriately route all incoming calls.
  • Conduct follow-up calls to discuss patient progress and address concerns.
  • Refer non-routine, sensitive, or complex requests to the appropriate staff member.
  • Ensure exceptional patient service by maintaining a friendly environment, greeting patients warmly, and upholding outstanding standards.
  • Assist with monitoring daily inventory levels of clinical and office supplies.
  • Perform daily scanning and uploading of documents into patient files.
  • Train additional staff on daily procedures when requested by the office manager and/or physician.
  • Participate in clinic marketing efforts and provide ongoing support to promote clinic profitability and success.
  • Obtain patient vitals, perform EKGs, and conduct phlebotomy.
  • Administer IM injections.
  • Prepare laboratory order forms and obtain patient laboratory results.
  • Assist physicians or mid-level practitioners with patient referrals to other healthcare professionals.
  • Document patient progress notes in the patient chart and/or EMR.
  • Conduct follow-up calls to patients to discuss progress and address concerns.
  • Perform other clinical duties as required.
