About The Position

This Medical Assistant position within Student Health and Counseling Services, under the general supervision of a physician or nurse practitioner, performs a variety of technical medical services for which they have been formally trained and gives patient care to students. This position also provides care to students through initial assessment, administering medication, performing specific lab tests, immunizations, and venipuncture.

Requirements

Formally trained in technical medical services.
Ability to provide patient care to students.
Ability to perform initial assessment of students.
Ability to administer medication.
Ability to perform specific lab tests.
Ability to perform immunizations.
Ability to perform venipuncture.
Must successfully meet and pass a pre-employment medical examination and drug screen.
Must be a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and comply with CSU Executive Order 1083 Revised July 21, 2017.
