About The Position

The Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative responsibilities in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments. Typically work on semi-routine assignments. You will report to the Center Administrator of the float staff. This is a float position, You will support various Centerwell Clinics in the Phoenix metro area. The Medical Assistant discusses symptoms and obtains vital signs. They administer medications and vaccines, and perform phlebotomy. The Medical Assistant collects specimens and conducts screening tests. Additionally, they sterilize equipment and maintain exam rooms. The Medical Assistant documents in electronic records. They also collaborate with providers within certification limits.

Requirements

• Certified or Registered
• Phlebotomy experience
• Medication/vaccine administration experience
• 1+ years MA experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR Certified
• Patient facing experience

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years MA experience in PCO center
• Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience

Responsibilities
