Provides safe, therapeutic and efficient care and services to patients. Assists in the care of patients, performs treatments, administers medications (if qualified and appropriately supervised), and instructs patients and their families in appropriate care, as directed by their provider. This role involves obtaining and documenting patient information, assisting providers with examinations and procedures, collecting specimens, preparing patients for procedures, sterilizing instruments, arranging for diagnostic services, maintaining patient records, administering vaccines and medications under supervision, performing basic office procedures, and relaying provider instructions to patients. The position also requires adherence to safety regulations, policies, and procedures, maintaining cleanliness of work areas, professional growth, outstanding customer service, and data entry.
