About The Position

Become a part of our caring community. Join our dedicated outpatient team at the Veterans clinic, where patient-centered care is our top priority. In this role, you will directly report to the Center Administrator and play an important part in delivering high-quality clinical support to our Patients. Veterans clinic address: 1020 Veterans Pkwy #700, Clarksville, IN 47129.

Requirements

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 3+ years of experience and approval from Provider
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR Certified
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy experience
• Medication/vaccine administration experience
• At least 1 year of MA experience
• Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient histories, discuss symptoms, and record vital signs
• Administer medications and vaccines following protocols
• Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens
• Prepare and maintain clean, sterile examination and equipment
• Document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Use your skills to make an impact
