About The Position

The Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments.

Requirements

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR Certified

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy experience
• Medication/vaccine administration experience
• 1+ years MA experience
• Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
• Bilingual proficient in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical duties, including discussing symptoms and gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system.
• Takes vital signs, gives injections, and performs diagnostic tests.
• Collects specimens, draws blood, sterilizes and cleans equipment, and maintains examination rooms at an outpatient care site.
