About The Position

Sentara South Main is seeking to hire a Senior Certified Medical Assistant. This position involves performing patient care related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluation, as delegated or assigned by and/or under the direction/supervision of a Physician, Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The role also includes performing administrative duties as appropriate.

Requirements

Patient Care experience of 3 years required.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must have one of the following Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Certified EMT (EMT-B, AEMT)
BLS certification required within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

Perform patient care related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluation, and as delegated or assigned by and/or under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Perform administrative duties, as appropriate.
