About The Position
Ascension is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their Family Medicine department at the Green Bay Road facility in Racine, WI. This is a full-time position with 36 hours per week. The office is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting physicians and nurses in patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties.
- Interview patients to record medical history and accurately measure vital signs for charting.
- Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms while ensuring all medical supplies are ordered and stocked.
- Manage essential clerical tasks, including phone correspondence, record maintenance, and filing.
