About The Position
We are a FQHC, currently seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) for an opening at our Bastrop ISD Community Health Center location. Position requires travel between sites and knowledge of pediatrics.
Requirements
- Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program with phlebotomy, required
- Strong interpersonal skills and a caring attitude towards patients
- Proficiency in medical terminology and basic computer skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of pediatrics
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
- Record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by providers
- Perform administrative tasks, including managing patient records
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
- Interact closely with patients, making them feel at ease while assisting with any concerns they may have
