About The Position

This Gap Year Program is designed for driven individuals who have recently graduated and aspire to attend medical, PA, or NP school. It offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience and immerse oneself in patient care before applying to further education. As a Medical Assistant, you will be integral to patient care, working alongside Board Certified Dermatologists to provide essential support. The role requires a blend of clinical knowledge, compassion, a strong work ethic, and a desire to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Completion of Bachelor’s Degree (and awaiting acceptance to PA, NP, or medical school).
Must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
Will not sponsor applicants for work visas.

Responsibilities

Provide the best patient experience, including welcoming patients, prepping them for visits, and answering care-related questions.
Support hands-on patient care by assisting providers during procedures, capturing detailed visit notes, and fulfilling prescription orders.
Ensure the appointment is as smooth and complete as possible.
Manage clinic operations by staying on top of supplies, maintaining equipment, understanding exam room flow, and identifying ways to work more efficiently.
Be a reliable teammate by assisting others, maintaining organization, and contributing to a positive and supportive environment.
