About The Position

Mass General Brigham Medical Group Northern Massachusetts, Inc. is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support the Neurosurgery & Spine practice. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient patient flow and providing direct patient care. Mass General Brigham is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to patient care, research, teaching, and community service, aiming to provide exceptional care through high-performing teams. The practice operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Requirements

High School diploma/GED
Either BLS or Annual Manikin training including CPR and AED after 6 months of hire

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant Course or diploma program
A minimum of 1-year professional experience
National MA Certification via AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT

Responsibilities

Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office
Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, procedures, and treatments as directed)
Performing clinically appropriate tasks related to coordination of care (general patient guidance, test results, prescription refills, etc.)
Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas
Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs
