About The Position
The Helen DeVos Pediatric Residency Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their bustling and dedicated practice. This clinic serves as the medical home for patients aged 0-21 years, providing annual well child and sick visits. The support staff includes RNs, MAs/ACTs, ACCTs, and PSRs, all playing crucial roles in delivering high-quality patient care. The Medical Assistant will assist with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting in procedures. Candidates should be adaptable, detail-oriented, and possess strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice Required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
- One of the following Required within 120 Days: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
