About The Position
This is a part-time Medical Assistant position. The qualified candidate will be responsible for a variety of clinical and administrative duties to support patient care and office operations.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant diploma, certification, or graduate transcript
- Prior experience with insurance prior authorization and precertification
Nice To Haves
- Experience with NextGen EHR
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Responsibilities
- Perform autoclave tasks
- Manage voice mails
- Take patient vitals
- Insert patient history and medications into records
- Conduct pre-clinic assessments
- Handle insurance preauthorization and precertification for medication and imaging
- Assist with medical procedures
- Clean and stock examination rooms
- Manage prescription refills
- Perform lab work
- Complete EHR charting
- Perform various clinical duties as needed
