Medical Assistant
About The Position
The Medical Assistant at Conroe Surgery Center is responsible for maintaining all endoscope equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to OSHA, SGNA, and manufacturer guidelines. They will maintain a work environment in accordance with infection control guidelines to promote quality patient care. This role functions within the philosophy, policies, and procedures of the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) and represents the practice both internally and externally. The Medical Assistant works cooperatively with all other staff members. This position reports to the Charge Nurse and ASC Director. The role requires weekdays only, with no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required, and the schedule is subject to change based on the surgical schedule and the flow of the day.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Medical Assistant or Certified Nurse Assistant or Patient Care Technician equivalent clinical training.
- BLS certification required
- One Year experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified.

- Maintains work environment in keeping with infection control guidelines to promote quality patient care.
- Functions within the philosophy, policies and procedures of the ASC and represents the practice within and outside the organization.
- Works cooperatively with all other staff members.
