About The Position

The Medical Assistant assists physicians with patient care and performs clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. The role includes scheduling appointments and managing patient charts, providing patients with information to help them use and benefit from clinic services, and conveying a positive image of the organization. The position is full time, with a variable shift; the listed schedule is weekdays, with hours ranging from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at Prime Healthcare St Francis Primary Care Clinic in Chicago, Illinois.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience, required for new hires effective April 2014.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum one year of work experience in a public-contact job.

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Work experience in health care preferred.
