About The Position

Gundersen Emplify Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our Sparta Family Medicine department! This role provides LOVE + MEDICINE to patients by greeting them warmly, updating patient information in charting systems, taking vitals, and gaining hands-on experience with procedures alongside nurses and providers. You will partner with a supportive team of professionals dedicated to patient and employee success.

Requirements

Graduate of a Medical Assistant program, Practical Nursing program or Vocational Nurse program or have completed education to be eligible for NCLEX-PN Or High School Diploma or equivalency and attained a Medical Assistant Certification
Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers
Medical Assistant Certification within 15 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

Provide LOVE + MEDICINE to our patients by greeting them with a warm and welcoming smile and setting the tone for their appointments
Provide patient care for our family medicine department
Update patient information in charting systems
Take vitals
Get hands on experience working on procedures with nurses and providers
Partner with a team of providers, medical professionals, and managers who are here to support your success and that of our patients in their health journeys.
