About The Position

Advanced Specialty Care, P.C. is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our Allergy & Asthma Department. This role provides clinical support under the direction of licensed healthcare professionals. Our board-certified allergists are experts in diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions, including asthma; nasal and eye allergies; sinus infections; food, drug, and skin allergies; stinging insect allergies; and environmental or seasonal sensitivities. The objective is to provide clinical support to our Allergy & Asthma providers and patients, assist with routine patient care while providing a high-quality, patient-focused experience, and adhere to practice protocols and processes while supporting efficient clinical operations.

Requirements

• Travel is required between satellite offices (Danbury, Ridgefield, New Milford & Norwalk).
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Flexible work schedule.
• Electronic Health Records experience.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Positive outlook and upbeat personality.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and meticulous.
• Ability to multitask.
• Use of computers and software programs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients for examinations.
• Provide patient education as directed.
• Perform allergy testing in accordance with department protocols.
• Assist providers with routine patient care and clinical needs.
• Answer phones and assist with patient inquiries.
• Document patient information within the electronic health record.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
