About The Position

Tareen Dermatology is excited to announce the opening of our newest clinic in Grand Forks, North Dakota. We are seeking a compassionate and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our growing team. The Medical Assistant works closely with providers to support patient care by preparing patients for visits, documenting medical encounters, assisting with procedures, and providing patient education. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous healthcare, patient care, or medical office experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or equivalent)
  • Previous Medical Assistant experience
  • Dermatology experience
  • Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy preferred
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to patient confidentiality
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and clinic needs

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by obtaining medical histories and vital signs
  • Accurately document provider encounters and procedures within the EMR
  • Assist providers during medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology procedures
  • Generate and submit orders as directed by providers
  • Communicate pathology results and follow-up instructions to patients
  • Answer and return patient phone calls in a timely manner
  • Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure care
  • Handle and label specimens according to established protocols
  • Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms
  • Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic safety standards
  • Travel periodically for training and support purposes as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
