About The Position

The Medical Assistant plays a key role in supporting clinical operations and ensuring a positive patient experience within the health center. This position requires strong clinical, administrative, and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced clinic environment. Evernorth Workplace Care offers health care delivery services along with population health and health coaching solutions. Requirements

  • Graduate of approved MA program OR on the job training with CCMA prior to hire
  • Current BCLS required
  • At least 1 or more years of front and back-office experience
  • Phlebotomy skills in the work setting required
  • Solid Computer and documentation skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills required
  • Team oriented
  • Strong time management skills
  • Responsible and reliable
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to operational needs
  • Ability to work 8 hour shifts and full time 40 hours/week within the following clinic hours: Monday/Wednesday: 7:00 am - 5 pm, Tuesday/Thursday/Friday: 7 am - 3:30 pm

Responsibilities

  • Attend department staff meetings and participate in required in‑service training programs
  • Cross‑train to support new procedures and additional departments as needed
  • Greet and check in patients by verifying coverage and eligibility and completing required documentation
  • Answer and triage telephone calls in accordance with departmental procedures, routing calls appropriately and taking accurate, legible messages when necessary
  • Schedule patient appointments and verify membership and benefit coverage
  • Support back‑office clinical functions as assigned (vitals, immunizations, injections, point of care testing, lab draws, occupational health testing)
