About The Position

The Medical Assistant is a full-time medical clinician providing care to students in the Endicott College Wellness Center. Reporting to the Director of the Wellness Center, the Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to nurse practitioners, handling student patient care, vitals, immunizations, and medical records. Additional responsibilities include supporting operational and administrative needs and participating in key college events. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program preferred.
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is often required.
Previous experience in a clinic or college health setting is highly desirable, with a focus on working with adolescents and young adults
Full-time, on-site position
Prior office experiences in a higher education setting
Customer service and confidentiality
Ability to triage and manage multiple issues and concerns

Responsibilities

Prepare exam rooms, take vitals (blood pressure, weight), assist with physical exams, and administer vaccines.
Perform point-of-care testing, collect lab specimens (blood/urine), and aid with specialized procedures like splinting or dressing changes.
Schedule appointments, maintain confidential electronic medical records (EMR), and manage inventory.
Greet students, document medical histories, and provide care instructions.
