Medical Assistant - Medical Group Cardiology
About The Position
Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for their Cardiology group in Bannockburn, IL. This is a full-time position with a 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The role requires some travel to other locations and flexible hours to meet operational needs. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
- CPR-BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
- One year of work experience required
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required.
- Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) is preferred, but not required.
- previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred.
- On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and escort them to exam room
- Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
- Perform basic vitals such as blood pressure, height and weight
- Provide front office support as needed
- Phlebotomy and giving injections varies based on the specialty
