About The Position

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality primary care to our patients. Under the supervision of the Practice Manager, you will support medical providers, care managers, and other staff to ensure efficient clinic operations and exceptional patient experiences. Requirements

  • Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Prior experience in a clinical setting, preferably in primary care or outpatient clinics.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and infection control standards.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to act within the scope of practice and follow established protocols and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare examination rooms for patient visits by turning on instruments, computer systems, lights, and ensuring rooms are clean, organized, and well-stocked each morning.
  • Assist medical providers during patient examinations and procedures, including taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing necessary supplies.
  • Support care coordination by facilitating patient flow within the clinic and ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Provide basic nursing care within the scope of certification, registration, or educational provisions, adhering to agency protocols.
  • Manage and update patient records accurately in electronic health systems.
  • Assist with patient education and provide instructions as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment, following infection control protocols.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, and managing documentation.
