About The Position

Ascension is seeking a Medical Assistant for their Primary Care department at Greenfield Hospital in Greenfield, WI. This is a full-time position with day shifts. The Medical Assistant will support physicians and nurses in patient care, including examinations and treatments. Responsibilities also include taking patient medical histories, measuring vital signs, preparing and sanitizing treatment rooms, managing medical supplies, and handling clerical tasks such as phone correspondence and record maintenance.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties.
Interview patients to record medical history and accurately measure vital signs for charting.
Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms while ensuring all medical supplies are ordered and stocked.
Manage essential clerical tasks, including phone correspondence, record maintenance, and filing.
