As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality and compassionate care to our patients. Under the direct supervision of providers and nursing leadership, you will perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to ensure a seamless patient experience. Your work will directly support providers during examinations and procedures, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of patient care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), or graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five years, or current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of one year of experience in clinical medical assisting, or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years, or Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years.
  • Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
  • EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience.
  • Obtain and record accurate medical histories to support patient care.
  • Measure and record vital signs, contributing to comprehensive patient assessments.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring they are ready for the provider.
  • Assist providers during examinations and procedures, facilitating efficient and effective care.
