Facilitates communication between the patient and the provider during patient care. Responsible for preparing the patient for visits with the provider, including rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vitals, reviewing intake paperwork, pulling up radiology images, removing dressings, procedure set-up, and injection prep. Responsible for completing tasks associated with Company initiatives such as PROs and Quality Payment Programs. Maintains exam room standards, ensuring rooms are restocked and cleaned as needed. Monitors and replaces biohazard and sharps containers. Assists the provider in preparing patient prescriptions and completing medical and patient forms. Retrieves and responds to voicemails within 24 business hours and documents actions in EMR. Prepares patient electronic charts for clinic visits before the date of service, verifying outstanding testing results, confirming patient appropriateness for the provider, and noting imaging, DME, or casting needs. Scans clinical documents into EMR and prints clinic schedules. Ensures patients receive education as indicated by the provider and manages EMR desktops of assigned providers. Acts as PTO Buddy per clinic plan. Creates and promotes a positive patient experience and maintains a HIPAA compliant environment.
