About The Position

The Medical Assistant assists the nurse and front office with day-to-day duties at the Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic. The position reports to the Clinic Manager. Responsibilities include supporting patient care, maintaining exam rooms and supplies, processing instruments, and assisting with front desk operations as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• CPR certification.
• The position requires standing and/or walking for 80% of the time, including pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 pounds.
• The position involves sitting for 20% of the time while performing work in a standard office environment.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of experience in a previous medical assistant role.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vital signs and enter data into the electronic medical records system.
• Perform necessary CLIA-waived tests.
• Clean rooms after patient use.
• Ensure exam rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies.
• Appropriately process soiled instruments.
• Assist the front desk with daily operations as needed.
