About The Position

Responsible for assisting with the daily clinical and clerical operations of the assigned practice(s). Works collaboratively with the provider team to provide quality care to patients and quality support to providers through consistent communication.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent GED.
• Must be enrolled in or have graduated from a Medical Assistant program that meets certification eligibility requirements, or have worked as a Medical Assistant for five of the last seven years.
• Must obtain certification within two years of employment as one of the following: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through AAMA; Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through AMT; Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through NHA; National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through NCCT; or Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) through AMCA.
• CPR certification required.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Medical assistant or practice experience.
• Knowledge of clinical and clerical operations, service excellence, and clinical quality initiatives.
• Familiarity with computers and electronic medical record experience.
