Baptist Orthopedics is hiring a Medical Assistant for its Nassau office in Fernandina Beach, FL. This is a Full-Time opportunity where the experienced candidate will perform back-office Medical Assistant duties, including rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and assisting the provider. Positions requiring a level II Background check will undergo screening as a condition of employment.
Requirements
- 2+ years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in Physician's office
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Nice To Haves
- Associate of Arts/Science Preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant Preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides medical assistance to physician
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Maintains medical documentation
- Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Processes prescription requests and referrals
