Coordinate appointments and perform general clerical duties to assure the timely, efficient and accurate flow of patient information. Assist Practitioners and Management by performing testing, taking vital signs and accurate histories of patients in practice. Welcome and direct visitors and hospital colleagues to appropriate areas. Cultivate a courteous and respectful demeanor while multitasking between people and responsibilities. This is a full-time shift Mon-Thurs 9:30AM - 5:30PM and Fri 8:00AM - 4:00PM, located at the Mapleton Family Health Center for NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Medical Assistant Certificate
Minimum of two years’ experience in a health care facility
Excellent judgment
Communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and deal effectively with all levels of staff
Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

Experience in Multi-specialty Ambulatory
Experience with Pediatric populations

Responsibilities

Meeting and greeting patients and family members
