About The Position

Escort patients to exam rooms
Assist physicians with exams and procedures, administer medications, and perform tests.
Assist patients with questions about medications and wound care.
File charts; ensure all related reports, labs, and information are available in patients' medical records before their appointment
Take telephone messages; provide feedback and answer patient/physician/pharmacy calls
Process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians
Clean and restock examination rooms
Sterilize instruments

Requirements

• Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
• Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
• Excellent computer skills
• Candidate must be willing to be crossed trained in clerical duties
• Candidate must be willing to train at our Latham location
• 1+ year(s) of Medical Assistant experience (Required)
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, and OSHA regulation (Required)
• EMR experience (Required)
• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Nice To Haves

• Dermatology experience (Preferred)
• Front desk experience (Preferred)
• Bachelor's degree (preferred)
• Medical Assisting Certification (Preferred)
