We are currently seeking a temporary Medical Assistant in Sandusky, OH to support local skilled nursing facilities within a close-knit, mission-driven care community. Requirements

  • Completed an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Experience charting in an EMR

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. independently and assist with resident transfers involving greater weights as part of a team
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to travel to patient locations (e.g., home, hospital, SNF)
  • Fine motor skills and visual acuity required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical, post-acute care, care coordination, managed care, or geriatric healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate telemedicine and in-person provider visits for residents in skilled nursing facilities.
  • Coordinate care between residents, providers, facility staff, and family members.
  • Prepare residents for provider encounters and assist with visit workflows.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record.
  • Support transitions of care, referrals, follow-up appointments, and other care coordination activities.
  • Reinforce provider instructions and approved patient education materials.
  • Support compliance, quality initiatives, and administrative functions that contribute to positive patient outcomes.
  • Maintain reliable on-site attendance and professionalism while representing Theoria Medical within partner facilities.
