About The Position
Join Our Winona Pediatrics Team as a Medical Assistant! Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in patients’ lives while advancing your career in healthcare? Our Pediatrics department is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our compassionate, high-performing team. This is a full-time position (.9 FTE), with 72 hours bi-weekly, scheduled Monday - Friday, Day Shifts. No weekend or holiday hours are required, offering excellent work-life balance. The role provides hands-on experience with procedures and virtual visits, exposure to a wide range of patient care, and is ideal for those looking to build a long-term career in healthcare within a mission-driven environment that leads with empathy and excellence.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program, Practical Nursing program or Vocational Nurse program or have completed education to be eligible for NCLEX-PN
- Or High School Diploma or equivalency and attained a Medical Assistant Certification
- BLS for healthcare workers
- Medical Assistant Certification within 15 months of hire date.
Responsibilities
- Provide LOVE + MEDICINE to our patients by greeting them with a warm and welcoming smile and setting the tone for their appointments
- Update patient information in charting systems
- Take vitals
- Get hands on experience working on procedures with nurses and providers
- Partner with a team of providers, medical professionals, and managers who are here to support your success and that of our patients in their health journeys.
- This position requires working with in person appointments as well as virtual appointments
