About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant for a busy outpatient Nephrology clinic. This role combines both administrative and clinical responsibilities, with approximately 50% of time dedicated to front-office and administrative duties and 50% spent supporting patient care activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of Medical Assistant experience
- Current BLS Certification
- Experience obtaining vitals and patient histories
- Strong administrative and customer service skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with EPIC
Responsibilities
- Room patients and prepare them for provider visits
- Obtain and document vital signs and medical histories
- Assist providers with patient flow and clinical support
- Complete administrative and clerical duties
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records
- Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC
- Coordinate patient communication and follow-up
- Ensure exam rooms are properly stocked and prepared
- Follow clinic policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures
