About The Position
Baptist Health is looking to add a Medical Assistant to our Baptist Heart Specialists office on University Blvd in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-Time Days opportunity Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. The experienced candidate will perform back office Medical Assistant duties, such as rooming patients and administering EKGs. Experience preferred but new Medical Assistants are welcome to apply.
Requirements
- Over 5 years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in Physician's office
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Certified Medical Assistant Required
Nice To Haves
- Associate of Arts/Science Preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides medical assistance to physician
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Maintains medical documentation
- Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Processes prescription requests and referrals
