About The Position

Icon Eyecare is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant for our Clinic, and we are willing to train! Our mission is to improve people’s lives through better vision and outstanding patient experiences.

Requirements

• Exceptional customer relationship skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in a second language highly desirable (Spanish preferred)

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.
• Act as the concierge for patients- greeting and directing patients to their appointments and surgery.
• Schedules surgeries by making arrangements with the surgical center; verifying times with patients; preparing charts, pre-admission and consent forms.
• Counsel patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions about surgery and post-op instructions.
