About The Position

The Medical Assistant (MA) - Pediatrics position at Evanston is a full-time role focused on providing direct patient care in a pediatric setting. The role involves greeting patients, documenting vital signs and medical information, providing front office support, and performing basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs, phlebotomy, and administering injections. The position is part of Endeavor Health, a large integrated healthcare system dedicated to community-focused care across six counties in northeast Illinois.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
CPR certification through the American Heart Association required
One year of work experience required

Nice To Haves

Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and escort them to exam room
Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
Provide front office support as needed
Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
Phlebotomy and injections may be required
